Kindergarten, Part 3 Specialist

Course Code: LDF16KG3Y

Learn about The Kindergarten Program, using the 2016 revised document in an interactive, creative, and blended course. This third part will extend and deepen early childhood development theories/approaches and enhance our knowledge about effective practice for children aged 3.5-6 years with a focus on family involvement, collaboration, leadership, and mentoring in all areas of the Kindergarten program. Educators will have weekly opportunities to connect in person and online via Twitterchats with their professional learning community (PLC). During the course we will be exploring the theory and connect it to practice with our hands-on lectures, interesting readings, knowledgable guest speakers, inspiring field trips, and practical assignments. Our weeks together will feel more like an experience to support your own unique learning journey, and will provide you with resources for your ongoing exploration even after the course ends.
