This one and a half day conference for elementary and secondary educators, and school and system leaders will give you an understanding of how to best mobilize in your school to stop bullying. The presenters are all nationally recognized leaders in their respective fields.
Participants will gain an understanding of:
- your obligations under the proposed Accepting Schools Act
- legal issues around cyber-bullying and sexting
- the most current research and practices in bullying and cyber-bullying
- best practices in anti-bullying programs
- key components in creating an effective school plan
- and, resources available to educators how to best mobilize in your schools.
DAY 1 includes sessions by Dr. Debra Pepler, Eric Rohr, John Morrison and Dr. Esther Fine including the development/enhancement of a school plan
DAY 2 will be a presentation by Stu Auty of the Canadian Safe School Network and a workshop that facilitates the sharing of best practices
