Alison Malcolm (Ali) is the project co-ordinator for EGCC. She is also an avid reader, traveller, cook, and urban cyclist. She is currently in her 1st year of doctoral studies at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT) and is interested in youth second chance learning, alternative forms of education, educational programs for youth drop-outs and comparative education.
Nailah is the Data Coordinator/RA for the EGCC. She is a graduate student at York whose interests include issues affecting racially marginalized youth, critical theories and eduation.
Flavia is the EGCC Data Coordinator. Flavia is a social worker with a strong commitment to justice and diversity. Her front line work in community-based agencies and research has focused on issues around homelessness, domestic violence, economic vulnerability, immigration issues and women’s issues.
Gertrude is a recruiter as well as a youth interviewer for the EGCC project. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate in health studies at University of Waterloo. Her interest include the health status of our aging population as well as public health.
Cynthia is a youth interviewer for the project and a student at York University, majoring in International Development Studies with a concentration in Culture and Politics, Governance and Policy. She greatly enjoys volunteering and thus worked with community organizations such as Action for Neighborhood Change, Connecting Paths Canada and the Ghanaian Students’ Association.
Selamawit is a youth interviewer for the project and is also a high school student in grade 11. Her interests includes issues in young youth and spending time with her friends and family.
Hatice is the youth interviewer/researcher for the EGCC project. She is a second year Social Work student at York University. Her interest is to promote youth leadership and civic activities in new urban environments.
Toks is a youth interviewer & board member for the project as well as a Political Science major at Glendon College. Her interests are foreign affairs, pop culture, equitable international development and social media.
